Ramon E. Rivera

A partner at Mackenzie Hughes, Ramon E, Rivera has handled immigration and naturalization in the firm's Business Law Department since 2001. A member of the American Immigration Law Association and the American, New York State, Onondaga County Bar Associations, Attorney Rivera is also an adjunct professor at Syracuse University College of law where he teaches Immigration Law.

Having experience counseling and representing corporate clients and individuals obtain immigrant and non-immigrant visas, he also assists with I-9 verification and compliance, I-9 violations and unfair immigration employment practices and document fraud before the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Published in January 2009, Attorney Rivera collaborated writing "Immigration Strategies for Companies", authoring the chapter entitled "What Your Company Needs to Know About Immigration in Today's Economic and Regulatory Environment." This book is an authoritative perspective on key strategies for advising companies in hiring foreign workers and complying with immigration regulations.
